Our Story

Friends Forever

One night, two roommates came together to home brew their very first beer: an IPA. Slowly, their other roommates and friends started to hang around while they brewed, occasionally helping with the bottling and labeling, but mostly just providing comic relief and reliving their dating horror stories. 

After mere weeks, their Friendship IPA was ready, and the group discovered something magical: with their powers combined, they produced the most balanced, the most full-bodied, the most exquisite IPA they've ever had. And believe me, they drink a LOT of IPA.

But what to name it? The group brainstormed themes that embodied their spirit: Going camping? Lamenting Silicon Valley rent? Swimming, biking, running, and publishing? All these ideas were thrown around while each member continued to do what  they usually did standing around at night: swiping left and comparing matches. "Well, we're all single?" Boom. And Friend Zone was born. 

We may have the worst luck in dating, but damn do we have great friends.
